Everywhere we turn these days there are presidential candidates espousing their resemblance to Ronald Reagan. “We were buds back in the day,” or “Look at the nifty pen he gave me!” Everyone, it seems, wants to align themselves with Reagan. Since the day she hit the national scene during the 2008 Presidential Election Governor Sarah Palin has been like a bug under a microscope. Everyone has had a theory for why she did this or why she did that. Is she having pancakes for breakfast this morning because she is in the wheat belt? And is that bacon she is eating? Good God Woman! Don’t you realize there are vegetarians out there and they might be offended? Life under a magnifying glass. But that is the life chosen by a politician. Especially a politician in the national arena.
