Over the past few days there has certainly been no shortage of reports about Jeremiah Wright in the news or blogosphere. It seems that everywhere you turn, you hear his ‘bombastic’ shouts on the airwaves. The question that comes to my mind is, why is he getting all of this attention? Obviously, he is no friend of Obama’s, or he would have kept his voice quiet and faded into the woodwork until after this election was over. So exactly what is the agenda that Wright is trying to advance?
A retired preacher who claims to have been preaching Jesus for 30 years is strangely silent about the message of Peace and Love for Mankind that the Jesus I know preached when He was on this Earth. It sounds more like Wright is trying to take over the mantle of Al Sharpdon with his ‘bombastic’, arrogant, hate filled racist message he pushes. He certainly wasted no time in jumping into the media spotlight after his name was mentioned on national news. And now, instead of trying to shrink from the light to allow it to shine on Obama, he is basking in that light and blocking it from Obama.
Obama, now trying to backpeddle and decisively state that he does not agree with Wright, that his hate-speech is not what Obama believes, is having a hard time convincing anyone of anything. He has waited too long to cut ol’ Uncle Jeremiah loose. His judgment, honesty and integrity all have to be called into question over this issue. How good is this Presidential candidate’s judgment to not recognize, first that this was the message Wright has been peddling for the 20 years he has known him, how honest is he in telling us that he doesn’t agree with Wright’s position, and what does this all say about the man’s integrity, that he would throw first his Grandmother and now his pastor under the bus for political gain?
Mr. Obama, it looks to me as though you are simply too inexperienced for this job, you have demonstrated your lack of honesty and integrity, and if I were living in your district of Illinois, I would be wondering if you had the ability to represent me in Congress after these things have seen the light of day.
But, that is just My Arrogant Opinion.
